北海道室蘭市出身。2007年に苫小牧市の会社に就職したが、趣味だった登山やスキーがきっかけで最も好きだった十勝岳連峰の近くで暮らしたいと思うようになり、2017年に退職し中富良野町に移住。
夏は主に農作業をしながら冬のBCツアーをメインにテールガイドを3シーズン経験したのち、それと平行して個人でのガイド業もスタート。
2022年6月、ひとつの目標としていた日本山岳ガイド協会のガイド資格を取得し"NAKAFU Mountain Base"を設立。
また、2023年から中富良野町にあるラベンダー園"NANAKAの花畑"を引き継ぐこととなり、ラベンダー園と登山ガイドの両立を目指している。

Ryoji Mizutani is originally from Muroran city, southern Hokkaido.
He had enjoyed trekking and skiing since he was in elementary school.
In 2017, he decided to become a trekking and skiing guide in his favorite mountains, Tokachidake Mountain Range and Daisetsuzan and move to Nakafurano town located at the bottom of those mountains.
In 2021, he got certified a trekking and skiing guide license from Japan Mountain Guides Association and started his office.
From beginner to pro, he only offers a private tour so you can comfortably enjoy the customized tour at your level.
He is looking forward to sharing wonderful experiences with you.
Activities:
-Backcountry skiing in Tokachidake Mountain Range, Daisetsuzan and around Asahikawa(Between the end of December to April)
-Trekking in Tokachidake Mountain Range and Daisetsuzan (Between August to September)
Qualifications:
-"Japan Mountain Guides Association" Trekking guide stage Ⅱ and ski guide stage Ⅱ
-"Wilderness Medical Associates" Wilderness Advanced First Aid
-"Japanese Red Cross Society" Snow safety Advanced
